Home for Break

So this past weekend Jake & I made our long trek home to North Carolina,
not only was I excited to be in my home state for a week
but we were going food tasting for the reception and rehearsal dinner.
We also went to a bridal boutique in Asheville on the way home
so that my little sister & Jake's two younger sisters could get their bridesmaids dresses.

The food was delicious, and watching the girls get measured for their dresses was such a great experience, It's so exciting to see the wedding coming together and to finally be working out all the details.

It was such a fun day! & I am beyond excited for the August 11th
and had so much a wonderful time spending the day with our families.

After getting home to Winston-Salem,
Monday morning my mom, grandma, & I made a trip out to

My intentions were to just look for a dress and keep a feel for different prices and looks.
However, after I tried on my second dress I was knew that I had found my dress.
I never imagined finding a dress so quickly, and after a few alterations it will be my perfect dress.
I am so excited to do my final measurements and get to wear it on my wedding day!

Not only was my wedding details getting accomplished,
but on Tuesday I received an email from

in Auburn and Opelika.
They asked me to come in for an job interview for a position I had applied for months before.
I am so excited for the Interview, & to see what happens!

My trip home was a great, relaxing week, exactly what I had been needing,
I am refreshed and ready to come back motivated to get the job.
Tonight I am getting ready to go out for St. Patrick's Day in downtown Auburn with Jake & his friends
& tomorrow I will be heading to my interview around 11am!

Wish me luck!

War Eagle!

Ever since I've moved to Auburn AL with my fiance,
I have been going out and applying for full time interior design jobs in the area.

After few interviews and many emails returned explaining that their companies had gone out of business, they were independent, and they weren't getting enough business to hire anytime soon.

After applying to design firms, boutiques, and furniture stores.

After Hours of frustration..

my dreams of becoming an interior design was going dim, and It seemed like I would be spending
the majority of my time at Auburn working at a department store,
which isn't a bad job but not the job I envisioned for myself.

For the past few months I had been really depressed, questioning what my future in Auburn was going to be, trying to figure out what I should do to improve my future.
So I decided to apply to Auburn University for a second degree
in communications with a minor in business technologies.
I figured that by getting a second degree in broad field that could be used with my interior design degree or separately would only help my future career and improve my education.
I didn't know If I would get in, but with a lot of prayer, hoping, and wishful thinking..

I found out last Friday online that i had been "accepted for admission,"
but I am still waiting to receive my official letter..
& it came today!

I am beyond excited!!!
